Sweet Summertime & Five for Friday

· · · ·
Happy Friday! (as if any day is different at this point ๐Ÿ™‚ )
I’m linking up with DoodleBugs for a 5 for Friday post!  Make sure you visit her [blog] to check out other 5 for Friday posts.
While being unfortunate, and great at the same time, I don’t have that much going on!  But, here it goes.
First and foremost, my last post has been quite the labor of love.  I put my heart (and soul) into the content of this post during this year, and I’ve been contemplating for a while now just how to convey my experience with it to everyone else. I spent quite some time writing my last post, and I hope that you will take a few moments to [check it out here]!
I finished another Word Work center packet for my future first graders yesterday! ๐Ÿ™‚  Here’s a little preview of the fun sight word practice they’ll be getting to participate in next year!
You can grab a copy [here].  I’ve already finished the [Fall packet], and the Spring and Summer packets are both in the works!  I just love creating things that my kiddos will enjoy using to practice becoming better readers!

My original post didn’t have a 3, 4, and 5 – so you’re pretty lucky I’m back to correct that! ๐Ÿ™‚
The school I’ll be teaching at next year was chosen by Target and The Hearts of America Foundation for a complete library renovation, and this week the new library was unveiled!  I was so excited to see pictures of the event and think that the library came out beautiful!
I can’t wait to take my firsties to this awesome library!!
One of my favorite shows starts back at the end of the month!  TRUE BLOOD!  Ah, I get so excited for this show, and I’m a little sad it will be the last season!  What other cheesy, vampire show will fill my Sunday nights???

Pam is my FAV!

Ok, come on… I had to REALLY think to add a 3 and 4.  I’ll leave number 5 as a question for you!

What have you been up to this summer so far?

  1. Bryce, it looks like you've made some great units for your future firsties! And what lucky kiddos to get a brand new library! I'm trying to spread the word – sorry for the shameless plug – I'm starting a new linky party for the summer called Sell It Saturday. I have a smaller blog, but if you're ever interested in joining in, that'd be great!
