About Me

Welcome to The Teaching Texan!  My name is Bryce Sizemore, and I am so excited to share ideas from my classroom (and others’ classrooms) with you!

I am entering my fifth year of teaching (one year in First Grade and four years in Kindergarten) and will be teaching Kindergarten again in the 2017-2018 school year. 

I strongly believe that children learn best when they are active participators in their education, have choice, and are given meaningful hands-on experiences.  I hope you’ll join me as I share my adventures in teaching!

In addition to teaching, I coach all-star cheerleading and have been involved as a coach for eight years.  Beyond teaching, I love getting together with friends, watching scary movies, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling (as you can see by the picture of me on the Swarovski staircase on the Champs-Elysées in Paris).

I have two wonderful dogs that are like my kiddos, Peatree the Pomeranian and Carson the King Charles Spaniel.
