Five for Friday: Lakes, Fun, and A Runaway Pup
Has it really been another week already?
Summer is flying by! Thankfully I’m making the most of it – lots of fun but also some work here and there.
I’m linking up with DoodleBugsTeaching for a Five for Friday post!
Last night we headed out to the Dallas Arboretum for their Cool Thursdays summer concert series. The band last night was a Beatles cover band. It’s such a nice, relaxing time! The mister got several sets from his boss, but we are considering buying a season pass. We love it that much!
There are normally food trucks out there, but we like to take our own bag with food and of course wine.
The Arboretum is bordered by White Rock Lake, which makes it that much more relaxing and beautiful!
This weekend we are heading to Lake Whitney (outside of Waco) with another great couple. Yes, this is the same lake where the house was pretty much sliding off the cliff.
This will be our third year going, but first year renting a cabin out there. I’m so excited for a fun weekend on the lake with great friends and a little cliff jumping!
Earlier this week one of my children (fur baby) decided he was going to push our gate open and go for a little adventure around the neighborhood. When I went to get them from the back yard and only one of my guys was back there, I was a little frantic to say the least…
After wandering the neighborhood for about 20 minutes and calling “CARSON!”, I finally found him with some people a couple streets over. I was so relieved that he was OK! Here’s a picture of him afterwords – pouting because his little excursion was over.
This week I’ve been hard at work (or hardly at work) revamping one of my First Grade products to be used in Kindergarten. My [Color By Sight Word – 4 Seasons Bundle] is now available in Primer words! What a great tool for Kindergarten teachers and as a review for First Grade students!
Don’t forget that I’m hosting a huge giveaway for my one year Blogiversary! There are over 30 K-2 products that are being featured, so if you haven’t entered yet [head over here]. The giveaway ends on Monday at midnight!
Alright friends, I’m off to get all the groceries for this weekend! Who put me in charge of that anyway??
